The last ASME meeting is upon us and that means elections!
This will be held on Thursday, April 30th in Dolve 202 at 6:00pm.
We will be electing officers for the next school year. So come, whether you want to run for a position or just to vote. Nominations are being accepted and can be sent to email@example.com. Following the elections, we’ll be having an impromptu design competition along with some ice cream. We will be electing the following:

- Student Services Coordinator

We’ll be meeting in the CME Auditorium at 6:30.

NDSU College of Engineering is looking for volunteers and judges for a few local robotics competitions.
The first Bison BEST robotics competition will be held at the NDSU Indoor Track Complex on Friday, October 31st and Saturday, November 1st. The second, Northern Plains Regional Championship, will be held at the Fargo Civic Center on Friday, December 5th and Saturday, December 6th.

Message from the Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers:
The Minnesota Society of Professional Engineers (MnSPE) is sponsoring new grade school outreach events called Engineering Encounter in four schools throughout Minnesota in celebration of Engineers Week 2014.
One of these events will be held at Park Christian School in Moorhead on Monday, February 10 from 5:30 – 7:30 pm
ENGINEER VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED TO WORK WITH KIDS AND FAMILIES as they engage in a variety of hands-on engineering projects. You are invited and encouraged to share your love of engineering with the approximately 150 elementary-age students and families to attend.
Can you help? Volunteer online in under one minute – and encourage your engineering student colleagues and friends to sign up, too! All engineers and engineering students can volunteer – MnSPE membership is not required. Feel free to forward this email to others you think may be interested.
If you want to volunteer, please sign up at your earliest convenience but no later than Friday, February 7.
Planned hands-on activities to be done with attendees are Fizz Rockets, Float Your Boat, Magnetic Bridges, Mini Catapults and Mini Kaleidoscopes. Volunteers will be trained on these activities immediately prior to the event.
MnSPE is holding this event in conjunction with The Works Museum in Bloomington, MN, a hands-on children’s museum where kids explore how things work. Engineering Encounter is modeled after The Works’ Family Engineering Night, and is a great opportunity for you to support and encourage potential future engineers through an evening of fun, hands-on activities; and to share with others in the community who you are, what you do and why it is important.
